We are always looking for qualified and dedicated team members.

Teachers and Associate Teachers

You love children, you love being outdoors, and you want to be part of the team providing an excellent Montessori education.  You love to learn, and want to add to your skill set every single day.  You want to work in a place that feels peaceful as you pull into the driveway, and you are always reliable.

If you are still excited about working at Sandwich Montessori School, keep reading . . . we want to meet you!

Within our school, all teachers and associate teachers work together as a team.

You will be hired to work with a primary group, such as babies, toddlers, or preschooles, and will help out, as needed, in other classrooms. We are an extended family to our little ones, and getting to know each and every student and understand their needs is a must.

Teachers are the leaders of the class and develop and implement lessons.  Assistants are equally important and provide support to implement the lessons and are a vital part of each day’s work.  All team members ensure that the environment is well-prepared and take care to maintain an organized classroom throughout the day.

Observation is key to ensuring success of each student and you will communicate daily with families, both in writing, and verbally during face-to-face interactions. We are an active community and there will be times when you will participate in events that bring our current families, or other community members to campus to enjoy, learn, or play at our school.

We prefer Montessori training, or experience, and those not trained will be expected to happily gain insight about Montessori as part of your professional development plan and love of learning.  Those of you who are qualified through EEC, our state licensing board, know that you are . . . those of you who aren’t, there are often opportunities available.  Each member of our teaching team who is not EEC certified, in their love of learning, work towards the certification.  Individuals falling into either the certified, or non-certified group should inquire!

If you are still reading, there is one last requirement: You must be prepared to develop meaningful and lasting bonds with your students, because within seconds, they are going to make an impression on your heart that is everlasting!

If our job description speaks to you, connect with us today and tell us why you want to be part of our team, share your resume, and whether you are applying for a full or part time position, and whether you are qualified as a teacher or associate teacher . . . we want to speak with you and learn more!
