Whether your child joins us for five purposeful days or a single morning, every program rests on the same Montessori foundation: multi-age classrooms, an uninterrupted work period, and a two-acre wooded campus where learning moves outdoors.

How Elementary Enrollment Works at Sandwich Montessori School
Families either enroll in our complete five-day program, or build the week that suits their year from our Hybrid days, Morning Labs, and Afternoon Workshops.

Full Immersion
Five purposeful days in a prepared Montessori environment, with the full morning work period and afternoon enrichment already included.

- Montessori Hybrid — Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:30 – 1:00, with three guided days at home
- Morning Labs — Mondays, Thursdays & Fridays, 8:30 – 1:00
- Afternoon Workshops — Monday through Friday, 12:30 – 2:30
Hybrid tuition is billed monthly. Labs and workshops are paid online when registering, for the full year or any single trimester.
Full Immersion Elementary
A complete Montessori experience - five days of purposeful, child-led learning
Our full-time program offers students ages 6 to 14 a rich, uninterrupted Montessori experience five days a week. In thoughtfully prepared multi-age classrooms, students engage in extended work cycles, receive individualized lessons, and move deeply into hands-on, interdisciplinary learning that fosters independence, curiosity and mastery.
Children move at their own pace while learning in community. They explore advanced mathematics with golden beads, write research reports inspired by the Great Lessons, and pursue self-directed projects that reflect both academic rigor and personal meaning.
From geometry to gardening, literature to leadership, each day is designed to nurture the whole child: intellectually, emotionally, socially and ethically.

Montessori Hybrid - Elementary
A structured blend of deep focus at school and supported curiosity at home
This hybrid model gives students two peaceful days in a Montessori classroom, where they work hands-on with Montessori materials, follow their interests, and engage deeply without being rushed.
At home, families receive a clear learning plan, with just enough structure to stay on track and just enough flexibility to make it your own. You are never left guessing.
One child might spend the morning mastering the decimal system with golden beads, then measure flour for muffins at home the next day, bringing mathematics to life in both places.

Build Your Own Elementary Learning Experience With Enrichment Electives
Elementary families can enjoy morning labs or afternoon workshops (or both!) to create a learning schedule that works for them.
Elementary Morning Learning Labs (8:30 am - 1 pm)
Our morning learning labs are multi-hour, hands on experiences rooted in real world learning. Perfect for families looking for meaningful enrichment. Families may choose one, two, or all three morning labs.
Tuition: $920 per trimester, each discounted for annual enrollment
Community, Civics & Leadership (Mondays)
About This Lab
In this lab, students learn what it means to contribute to something bigger than themselves. They practice leading group projects, reflect on real-world challenges, and develop the skills to build community with purpose and empathy. One week they might plan a kindness campaign, organize a school event for younger peers, or work alongside our aging citizens. Another week they will reflect together: What worked? What kind of leaders do we want to be?

About This Lab
Students explore the world of small-scale farming through themed investigations supported by on-site gardening and food preparation in our teaching kitchen. Each session covers the full arc of food, beginning with compost and soil health and seasonal harvesting on Cape Cod, and expanding across the school year to farming practices around the globe. Children leave with muddy boots, full journals, and a deep sense of responsibility for where their food comes from.

About This Lab
Students explore science and engineering through hands-on challenges that push their thinking and creativity. They might build aqueducts from recycled materials, design parachutes to test drag, or create marble runs to explore kinetic energy. Every project builds problem-solving, resilience, collaboration, and trust in the child’s own ability to figure things out. The additional “M” is Minecraft: using our secure server and a curriculum built for it, students explore architecture, design, circuitry and culture, tackling engineering feats from Ancient Egypt through modern-day Japan.
Elementary Afternoon Workshops (12:30 pm - 2:30 pm)
Afternoon workshops are shorter, creative sessions designed to spark interest and build new skills. Families may register for as little as one afternoon workshop, or combine multiple workshops to build out your ideal week.
Tuition: $475 per trimester, each discounted for annual enrollment
Chess (Monday)
Chess gives students a chance to slow down and think ahead, on the board and in life. Whether they are learning how to protect a queen or how to recover from a mistake, children build critical thinking and strategic planning with every match. Lessons might include famous grandmaster moves, theme-based mini-games, or quiet tournament rounds that reward focus over flash. It is not about winning fast; it is about thinking clearly and responding wisely.
Language Explorers (Tuesday)
Language Explorers invites children to experience Spanish through culture, food, movement, and play. Instead of drills or worksheets, they learn by doing: making salsa while learning food vocabulary, acting out folktales, and playing rhythm games in Spanish. Over time students begin to think in Spanish rather than translate, and in the process they build confidence, connection, and cultural awareness.
Art History Through Clay (Wednesday)
In this reimagined clay workshop, students explore the world’s artistic traditions by working with their hands. Each project connects to a piece of art history — ancient coil pots, ceremonial masks, early relief carvings — so children learn about civilizations, symbolism, and creative expression across time and place. While sculpting, students engage in rich conversations about cultural meaning, form and function, and the stories objects can tell. Along the way they build spatial reasoning, self-expression, and respect for the diversity of human creativity.
Music (Thursday)
In this workshop, music becomes a full-body experience. Students explore tempo and melody through games, movement, wind instruments, and voice, learning to listen closely and to create intentionally. One week they might compose a rhythm pattern and perform it in small groups; another they might experiment with musical storytelling using recorders, scarves, or their own bodies. A structured, expressive, and community-building experience.
Dungeons & Dragons (Friday)
Dungeons & Dragons is more than a game — it is an immersive world where children collaborate, problem-solve, and lead through story. Each session unfolds like a living novel, with students building characters, navigating quests, and facing tough (and often hilarious) decisions together. They wrestle with moral dilemmas, practice empathy through role-play, and make plans as a group, developing confidence, flexibility, and creativity every step of the way. It is play with purpose, and every child gets to be the hero of the story.
You can enroll in one lab or workshop, or build a full 5-day week.
Electives may be added a la carte each trimester.

Do you offer full-time elementary options?
Yes - families can build a 5-day week using Montessori mornings and electives, or, you can learn more about our full time Elementary program here.
Do I need to have Montessori experience?
Not at all. You don't need prior Montessori knowledge. Our team walks with you and provides tools and guidance to make Montessori at home feel simple and doable.
Do we need to enroll in the hybrid program to join electives?
No, all enrichment electives - morning labs and afternoon workshops - are open to any elementary aged homeschooler. You can enroll in one or many, without joining the 2 day hybrid program. Register for electives here whenever you're ready!
What ages is the Elementary hybrid homeschool program for?
The hybrid program serves elementary students ages 6-14 in Montessori aligned, multi-age learning environments.
What kind of support do families receive for at home days?
You'll receive a personalized weekly learning plan aligned with your child's progress on campus. Plans include language, math, culture studies, nature based learning, and practical life - plus optional extensions for children who love to dig deeper. You'll also have access to parent workshops and community support throughout the year.
What makes the Sandwich Montessori School hybrid experience unique?
Our team partners closely with families through quarterly family learning labs, parent. meet ups, celebrations, and Montessori at home workshops. This deep ongoing partnership is one of the most loved features of the program. We also offer flexible trimester enrollment, so families do not have to commit to a full year experience up front.
When can families enroll?
Enrollment for electives opens prior to each trimester. Trimesters begin in August, November, and March. Please contact us for specific dates. We do accept mid-year enrollment for the hybrid program if space is available. Please inquire for availability.
Are there additional fees for electives?
Yes, each elective - whether a morning lab or afternoon workshop has its own tuition rate or trimester fee. Families can mix and match to create a personalized weekly schedule.
