Kat Pena

Kat was born in Springfield, MA, and moved to Cape Cod as a toddler. She holds an associate degree in business and continued her education in fashion merchandising before becoming a mother. In early motherhood, her love for creating a warm, intentional home led her to support other mothers as a lactation counselor. With over eight years of experience, she brings a compassionate, nurturing approach to her work with children and families.
Her passion for motherhood and supporting families led her into Montessori education, where she worked as a teacher assistant. Along with homeschooling her children and leading co-op classes, she has developed a love for guiding children through meaningful, hands-on learning rooted in everyday life. She values child-led learning and encourages a love of learning through nature, books, and children’s individual passions.
In her free time, she enjoys baking sourdough, gardening, thrifting vintage finds, reading, and spending time in nature with her four children. She looks forward to sharing her love for learning and the beauty of everyday moments in the classroom.
